EL SOLAR: Celebrating his 40th year in the ring in 2025, Solar is among the rare class of "Maestros del Maestros" of lucha libre - pillars in the development of luchadores, passing on the technique and essence of lucha libre. Solar won his first title in 1978 - a title he would hold for more than 1 year. Throughout his career he would hold multiple championships in UWA, EMLL (now CMLL) and WWA along with numerous independent promotions.

In addition to success as a singles star, in the 1980s, the Solar teamed with Super Astro and Ultraman to form "Los Cadetes del Espacio" the legendary trio who were part of the boom period of UWA, where trios matches were popularized and influenced the future of the sport - a tradition that continues to this day. The legend has also made more than 50 tours of Japan, where he has been credited with being among those who popularized both masked and trios wrestling.
